There and Back AgainIt's a dangerous business, going out your front door. You step into the Road, and if you don't keep your feet, there is knowing where you might be swept off to.

Just to let you all know.....

We're back in the states.  We arrived on Thursday, around 11:00pm NC time...after much delays, and a reroute through Regan Airport in DC.  Despite that we sat in the airport and watched Bernd das Brot and talked in German.

Our luggage has decided to finally join us today...

Here's a few of the last of our adventures....minus the Rhine boat ride that Moe talked about.

Today we have Rostock and Berlin again.

Here's Rostock...as you can tell the weather was gloomy.
But it was still the beach...so i was happy.

This is a reeeeaaaally cool picture of the Ferhsehturm and the World Clock
in Alexander Platz.  If you like Bourne Supremacy, both of these appear...
right next to a Tchibo....

Here's the Orangerie in the Sanssouci Gardens (san-sushi, for those of you
who like things pronounced)  This entire place is a great demonstration of the old Prussian Aristocracy.

So, here we are the night of July 7th.  We have spent two days in Rostock, met a resident of Monica's from last year's RA-ing days, along with Steffi and Dirk - two of her friends that live in New Brandenburg.  After walking around the bay and on the beach in icky weather, we talked about different churches and missions organizations that are budding and flourishing in Berlin.  It was very encouraging to hear about them, even if the weather wasn't so great...

Now, we're in berlin with Kristi and just got back from a bible study tonight.

Yay!  Adventures...

(on a side note, i've noticed our map is beginning to double back on a lot of places... oh well.  )

Happy 4th of July!
As good patriotic Americans we ate hamburgers, drank coke, and watched fireworks today.

Heidelberg Pics

Ok, so there are about a hundred different view points from which to take pictures of the Schloss Heidelberg (which is on Koenig Stuhl) Here are my favorites:

And here is the lovely couple we stayed with. Martin and Irene:
